Scenario
Partner has an external management system with a user interface where Office 365 or G Suite resources are managed. They want to add Archive feature to the interface so that the user could backup resource's data and then safely remove the resource from the office suite and release its license.
Inputs
As partner application is managing Office 365 or G Suite resources, it should know corresponding tenant and resource unique IDs in these systems. Such IDs are called 'external' in the API documentation as they refer to identifiers assigned by external systems and allow unambiguously refer to the resources in the APIs.
Note, that tenant/domain name, resource email and its name are all ambiguous identifiers and should be avoided to refer to the object.
